ABOUT

OUR STORY

At the age of ten whilst acting in child parts for stage productions at the Royal Academy Dramatic Art, between rehearsals much time was spent in the wardrobe department, amongst many wonderful fabrics and a lot of creativity. And I also spent plenty of time watching all the scenery being constructed and painted.

My Grandmother, was also a big influence, with a very eclectic taste in everything from her Mayfair night club to home furnishings, curtain fabrics and her entire home decor.

Playing at shops and staging theatre productions in the garage led on to a career as a DJ in Londons’ West End and then to managing top London nightclubs through the later part of the 60’s. These were the very best times in London nightlife and I love to bring all that atmosphere back, and fill the home with a warmth, cosiness and a feeling of relaxed luxury, but now without all the cigarette smoke.

Having started my career in nightclubs, I went on into retail in home furnishings and interior design and travelled the world bringing the most wonderful antiques, fabrics, furnishings, lighting and decorative accessories back to my clients, both in the UK and USA over the last fifty years.

Consequently, as I have always said, “ I have spent my entire life playing theatre inside four walls. “

Now still enjoying a creative and relatively peaceful life in the gorgeous English countryside of East Sussex, I am looking to bring the ambiance and romance of those glorious heady post war 60's days back into the home with a new range of lighting.
